Microfestivus is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year! As the premier fundraiser for the Square Society, a 501c(3) non-profit, this annual event has grown to be one of the largest beer festivals on the entire East Coast! 100% of all proceeds from this event go to charity in the form of unrestricted cash donations. Microfestivus celebrates the ever growing craft beer marketplace by striving to offer a wide variety of local, regional, and national breweries. Last year, we tapped over 200 kegs!

The Square Society is a member-run local non-profit organization established in 1996 to raise interest in and awareness of the arts, as well as cultural facilities and activities supported by Center in the Square. Our membership is extremely diverse and we sell memerships on an annual basis – click the links to learn more or join! Center in the Square is the leading cultural arts organization in Western Virginia and includes all of the organizations listed below. Center provides free rent and utilities, back office support, accounting, and more for each of these organizations. In the 21 years of Square Society’s existence, we have given over $600,000 in funds to Center in the Square!
